The new, official trailer for the big screen adaptation of video game Prince of Persia: The Sands of Time has been released, and it's pretty jaw-dropping stuff. And no, not just because of Jake Gyllenhaal's British accent. If you like the fast-moving action of the game you're in for a treat...

The film, produced by Jerry Bruckheimer and director by Mike Newell (Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire), stars Gyllenhaal as a rogue prince who joins forcs with a princess (Bond girl Gemma Arterton) to save an ancient daggar capable of releasing the Sands of Time which will allow its possessor to rule the world.

The film is released in 2010.
