Released on October 28 is 9, the new computer animated fantasy film from director Shane Acker. Teaming up with film-makers Tim Burton (The Corpse Bride) and Timur Bekmambetov (Wanted), who are acting as producers on the project, Acker has adapted his Oscar-winning short into a full length feature. And, judging from the brand new trailer, it's going to be pretty stunning.

Elijah Wood (The Lord of the Rings) lends his voice to rag doll 9, who comes to life in a post-apocalyptic world. In the abscence of all humans, he finds a small community of others like himself who are in hiding from the terrifying machines that roam the landscape. 9 realises that, if they are to survive, they need to go on the attack - but can he convince his new friends to take their fate in their hands?

Also lending their voices to this apocalyptic animation are John C Reilly, Jennifer Connelly, Crispin Glover, Christopher Plummer and Martin Landau
